Oshikiami Net Fishery & Cooking Experience (1 night and breakfast incl.)

Mie has a long history in fishing and is ranked as one of the largest producers in Japan(No 5 in 2011). This tour takes you to Nakiri Oshikiami Net Fishery in Shima city in the early morning and then to cook local cuisine at a fisherman or fisherwoman’s home.

Notes

  • Children under 5 years old are not allowed to join this tour.
  • Children shall be accompanied by an adult.
  • Payment shall be made in advance by credit card.
  • Breakfast will be cooked together with seasonal seafood at an Ama diver’s (or fisherman’s) house. If you have any allergies or any other restrictions, please let us know upon booking.
  • In case the fishery is not open due to weather or any other unexpected reason, only the cooking experience at the Ama diver’s (or fisherman’s) house will be done on the second day and half of the payment that has been made by the client will be refunded.
  • Please make an inquiry before booking as the itinerary is subject to change without notice
  • Please put on some warm clothes that you don’t mind getting wet. It is often colder on-board a fishing vessel than it is on land. As for footwear, sandals are not suitable as it is slippery on-board the vessel.
